In today’s world where people are bombarded with many messages it is hard to be noticed. It’s critical that you are able to identify and communicate your unique differences so that you stand out for the right reasons and get hired for the projects you want to work on and achieve great things. Personal branding is the most natural career strategy approach you can take, an essential tool for thriving in today's work environment. It enables you to express who you are, increase your confidence, self-motivation and visibility so that you can build a strong and enduring career. Ultimately it enables you to determine your leadership brand, your team brand and deliver greater value to your company brand.

Magdaléna Dobišová How to get ahead in a man´s world?

This man´s world has its characteristics and “game rules”. Men are frequently unable to describe or define them but play according to them. Whether a woman can easily understand the rules, should respect them or if she needs to change them – that is what Magdalena Dobisova will talk about. She will share her story about success in man´s world, about building respect and trust, about obstacles and overcoming them. All this, delivered dynamically, with the passion and charm that only a woman can bring.

11:30 - 12:00
Martin Palička Five years of a free company: lost and found

In 2011, they had a prospering company with 110 satisfied employees, and yet they decided to tear down the foundation of the prospering business and build a new one. Stepping into the unknown doesn’t only bring about media attention and interest of potential employees, but also a lot of situations you can’t predict. How do your corporate clients perceive it when you cancel the existing ISO norms? How do more introverted programmers respond to your efforts to set the amount of their bonus based on weekly discussion? They don’t have a guaranteed formula for success, but 5 years of experience give them an opportunity to inspire everyone who is not afraid to abandon classical management models and adapt to new ways of working in the 21st century.

Lenka Hejduková Vision, Mission and Core Values in everyday reinforcement

Company values have been talked about for years, as has the need to reinforce and integrate them into company activities and culture. Lisette Sutherland Stories Of Remote Teams Doing Great Things

In the past, we had to go to a specific geographic place in order to access the information we needed for our work. Now, that information is likely accessible from anywhere. And this gives us the opportunity to play with new ways of working and new business models. In this talk, we will explore how are companies organizing themselves to work together remotely with examples of new kinds of business models, digital nomads, virtual worlds, and examples of global collaboration.

13:40 - 14:10
Zuzana Száraz Even in the demanding environment of wholesale, little miracles can happen when working with talented people.

You will enter the world of wholesale, where Zuzana and her colleagues work with a demanding customer, where the environment changes rapidly and where everybody is used to quick changes and working in round-the-clock operation. Zuzana will show you what working with talents, something we consider a common part of our routines as managers and where talents have a unique opportunity to really develop, can look like. Zuzana will introduce two programmes of working with talents and university graduates, in which they are given an opportunity to try working on different projects across all departments in our country and abroad, to participate in colourful workshops, where they don’t get to know only the international context, but the very soul of a company. In this part, Zuzana will tell you about her personal experience of a graduate Anezka, who has just finished the 2-year programme.

14:10 - 14:40
Helena Gutierrez HR vs. Conflict-aversion

Every organization has to deal with conflict from time to time. And is not a secret that a conflict, when well-managed, can lead to better decisions, new approaches and greater success. But how can HR help nurture the type of conflict that leads to greater creativity and innovation when executives and managers don’t perceive Conflict in such way or even worse, when they are conflict-averse?
